Maya Nicole Matthews was selected as part of the inaugural “African American Legacies” exhibit—a project funded by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, UConn, Ujima African American Alliance, CT Humanities, Enfield Culture and Arts, and the Enfield Historical Society. The initiative honors Black leaders whose contributions continue to shape Enfield’s civic and cultural life.
